Evening everyone I'm in a bit of a bind. I left the house and my instrument lighting did not come on after dark like it's supposed to.

I checked my Owner's Manual and checked the fuses they seemed okay.

Right now my dome lights and instrument lights will not come on. In fact it looks like the switch was turned down to the low side. When I turn the switch ON it tells me my trunk is open which is not.

Is it the head lamp switch or something else more sinister? My car just hit 350k and I can't afford to junk her right now.

could be a problm with the body control module. it is located on the left side kick panel under the dash. check the groud wires and be sure they are clean. the module is vin specific to your vehicle. you cannot swap it with a junkyard one, wihout the correct vin number it will not start. see if you can have someone hook a scan tool up and have them look at the module. if bad, a new one is about 200 dollars and the dealer needs about an hour labor to program it.
