Well It runs....Thank You everyone for your help. They just shouldnt make vehicles like that, NO ONE can work on them anymore. After the fuel filter, i replaced the fuel pump (that was fun), fuel regulator. Then I had great fuel pressure, but didnt solve the problem. I went to the spark plugs and cylinder 2 coil pack was loose got dirt around sparkplug along with some oil and was shorting out on the sides of the head....I will never ever buy another Ford product again. With coils on each spark plug (stupid) and the other problems ive had, its just not worth the money. And I had 3 other Ford trucks and they were nothing like this.

Thank You again.DMT

All the Chevy V8s 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 and 8.1 are that way.

Dodge is the same way. I would imagine most imports are too.

My Kia Sedona does not have coil on plug, but does have 3 coil packs (one for every two spark plugs). In 2009 or so I think they went to 6 individual coils but the plug wires are still replaceable without replacing the coil.

When Ford did away with the 460 and the 390's i lost total interest . And with Dodge If my Dodge had lock out hubs i would be a lot happier as i am not afraid to get mud and snow on my boots to lock in the ft. hubs when needed . and they could have made it way easer to change out the heater core and evaporator , ya can tell the ones that design them don't work on them and if man made it it will break .

My 2000 6liter Chev. has a coil on each plug. I changed thr plugs & wires standing on the ground. Now the flashing lights on the dash is another story!! Why does each brand have enginering problums?

I've had COP issues with a 5.4 twice and never a check engine light. Both times the AM radio had static which was tied to engine RPM. Is this a common way to diagnose or just a freak incident?

Do you really think anything else will be any better? Nottin' esay to work on any more. Got a friend hauls cars for a livin'. He said he hauls GM Ford Mopar Honda Toyota. Dealerships all got one thing in common. They got mechanics working in the back.

not to rub it in but the first place i always look if a car truck tractor has a miss if its a gas burner is at the plugs. loose wires, that said. i worked at a allis dealer years back had a customer told me he was switching to deere tired of all allis having problem i told that be good as the deere dealer had a big shop and all the uesd it for was playing round ball in. any way about 6 mouth later after i went to work for the deere dearler one the first call i made was to his place all i said was dam i didn't think deers broke down he just shot me the middle finger we both had a good laugh, they all break down and every dealer has a big shop. and that why there so many auto parts stores and repairs shops.

I think COP's are great even though I've had 2 bad ones. No 100$+ wire sets and cap and rotors etc. If you had anyone who has had a gas ford truck in the last 13+ years, they probably could have told you to start with the coil pack.
