Been looking for a frontloader for my "new" tractor since I got it. Have all the local ad sites saved on my favorites and look at least twice a day. Either too far away or someone is real proud of what they have... Went thru them all yesterday. Again today and was going thru the second time and realized one was gone.. Found it again and there was a loader for a real good price advertised (put in yesterday evening) and 30 miles away.
0930 this morning I called and it was already gone :roll:

Some folks just have TOO much time on their hands.....

Years back, before craigs list or ebay, I tried to buy a couple of things from the local paper's classified. I was always too late - the last one was a metal lathe,( south bend ) all the tooling, extra chucks, cabinet, etc. $300. I called at 7 am the day the paper came out. The guy that answered told me that it had been sold 3 days earlier - within 1 hour of him calling in the ad. At least now you have some chance.

Dave2 I can beat you! Found out yesterday a now exemployee took some scrap iron from the farm,Forklift prongs, post driver hitch, Hobart welder gasoline, etc. The scraper was very hard to get an answer until he found that I had the tickit for yhe sale and the police are involved. Still doubt getting anything back.

I have bought things before the add came out. Back when I was still working I was working as a newspaper route driver and my car went down and just so happens my boss as circulation manager also had to help out at front desk and she had just took an ad for a van less than an hour before she found out my car had died and imideatly called and wife went to check it out and bought it before the add hit the paper. At times we get luckey.
