Toolbox creativity......

Got a nice little universal tractor (??) toolbox a few years ago off ebay. Just found it yesterday evening  ... Couple weeks ago, I posted about a worklight I had made portable by bolting two disc magnets to the base. First time I "portabalized" it, it fell off the fender and about got run over... Soooo, last night, I dillled two holes in the side of the toolbox and bolted the magnets to it. Battery tray is on the rear axle next to the seat and right against the fender. Cut an innertube for a battery cushion/cover and set the toolbox on the battery and the magnets hold it in place on the fender (flat surface). Gonna find a thicker piece of rubber/foam so the battery doesn't get any unnecessary shock/vibration.

Done now...

Why all the trouble to use magnets and not bolt them solid??? You could mount them solid much easier. I have found that tractor tires vibrate the whole tractor too much for magnets to work very well holding anything. I had a small flashing light that I tried to use. The magnet on it was so strong you could hardly get it off but it would still vibrate around and fall off.

so I only have to keep track of 1 toolbox........ Can take it on the quad if needed or throw it in the car.......
