i placed an ad looking for a case injector pump. it was answered by a man who called himself dan riley. he lived in england and had a pump. he wanted me to send the money to his son in nigeria who was in the army. i said i wouldn"t send money to africa so he had me send it to england. i told him to send me a tracking number first from a shipping company to show that the part was shipped and then i would send the money. he did just that and i sent the money. he then asked again for me to send it to his son in nigeria...i said no.. he then said to go get the money back from moneygram and sent it to him by western union. he told me he was a 65 year old man and couldn"t get around well enough to go get it at the moneygram place.... then he called me on the phone. he sounded like a young african man with a foreign accent that wasn"t british. i checked further and found out that there was no such shipping company ..but one almost with the same name. i called moneygram and was told it was a scam and they refunded my money. the scam artist couldn"t pick up the money from moneygram because he didn"t have the identification of dan riley.. a name he obviously stole. so he requested it by western union so he could retrieve it easier. i"m writing this in hopes that it will prevent some of you from making the same mistake i did. or at least make you aware of the many scams going around. hope it helps. thanks for reading

I had one like that trying to to get me to pre pay freight for an engine he bought off me(i was to get the money back when the engine was picked up),i told him right off the bat to go take a hike.

PS,are you still looking for a inj pump?
i have one off a case 1070 if that is what you need?

I often wonder the same thing as Billy Shafer. How is any one falling for this stuff???? Plus are Case injection pumps so rare that you have to get one from England that you pay for it in Nigeria???

If something is priced way too cheap then it is much more likely a SCAM!!!

One great thing about the internet, though- you can get instant responses on "wanted" items. Even for stuff that doesn't exist.

If I was looking for a bezel shaft bearing for a Keck Gonnerman Prairie Dominator 2000, there'd be 6 guys responding within 3 minutes.

What area are you in? Do you want it ready to roll or for parts?

I've got two 2000's, let me know.

I send you cashier check for $4000 and the bearing. Please to cash check and remit excess funds to me by Wells Fargo.

Prince, baby- you're getting your scams confused. I want the bearing- so you say you have one, and ask me to send you money. Now if I was SELLING a bearing, that's when you send me a big check and ask me to send the excess to your shipper.

But thanks for trying. Keep at it- you'll pick it up.
