i placed an ad looking for a case injector pump. it was answered by a man who called himself dan riley. he lived in england and had a pump. he wanted me to send the money to his son in nigeria who was in the army. i said i wouldn"t send money to africa so he had me send it to england. i told him to send me a tracking number first from a shipping company to show that the part was shipped and then i would send the money. he did just that and i sent the money. he then asked again for me to send it to his son in nigeria...i said no.. he then said to go get the money back from moneygram and sent it to him by western union. he told me he was a 65 year old man and couldn"t get around well enough to go get it at the moneygram place.... then he called me on the phone. he sounded like a young african man with a foreign accent that wasn"t british. i checked further and found out that there was no such shipping company ..but one almost with the same name. i called moneygram and was told it was a scam and they refunded my money. the scam artist couldn"t pick up the money from moneygram because he didn"t have the identification of dan riley.. a name he obviously stole. so he requested it by western union so he could retrieve it easier. i"m writing this in hopes that it will prevent some of you from making the same mistake i did. or at least make you aware of the many scams going around. hope it helps. thanks for reading
