If you have a blend of say 20-8-16 liquid mixed with water and you want to put out 200lb's to the acre. What is the calculations of just how much 20-8-16 are you really putting per acre? There must be a formula to figure this?

The 20-8-16 means 20 Lbs Nitogen, 8 pounds phosphorus and 16 pounds potassium per 100 pounds.

Since most liquid planter systems meter by the gallon you will need to know the bulk density (weight) per gallon. Your fertilizer dealer should be able to tell you but in general liquid fertilizers will weigh approximately 10 to 11 pounds per gallon.

I think your best bet would be to contact you dealer and he can tell you how many gal. to the acre to put on to get 200 lbs. of actual. I have spread dry bulk and when you set the spreader you have to know what the densety is so that you can get the correct setting on the spreader. HTH

You don't give enough info. Sounds like fertilizer is already in water. How much water is it mixed with?. The way I do it is to know how many gallons of fertilizer you need for 200lb. When you know that then you need to know how much total solution per acre you want to put out. Example if your sprayer will put XX gpa, you want the amount of fertilizer needed and add enough water to total XX gal.
