This is tractor related. I have got to the point that I can hardly push the clutch or walk and my knee keeps me awake at night. Anyone got any recomendations or experience.

Asking this on here probably won't either.

Like someone suggested, a doctor visit.

Now I will tell you what might or might not be an old wives tale. I have heard of several folks claim that Vinegar and honey in water does wonders for the joints. I can't attest to this personally as I cannot bring myself to drink vinegar. They discussed this over on Kountry life awhile back. Good luck

People in Fla. used to apply wd 40 externally on joints. Say it helped. For tractor maybe adapt hydraulic clutch from car or truck. Dave

i have a great uncle that literaly suffered with knee problems from the time he was 20. finally he had his knees replaced when well into his eighties. Can walk better ,with absolutly no pain for the first time in his life.Said that putting it off was the dumbest thing he had ever done. I agree with the others, a trip to the dr would be a good first step. If your looking for a home remedy, horse linament was what we always used for pain. Might not help but some of it burns so bad,you forget the pain inside for the one outside! a abundant dose of jack black,or preferably crown royal at meals and snack times has been reported to dull pain also, although it impairs your balance in my experience! LOL if you believe driving your tractor aggravates your knees( i know it does mine,i think because you have to push down instead of forward)I think maybe red rock mfg makes a hand clutch adapter for a n. should be fairly simple to make one out of a flat bar and a couple of u bolts though to attach to clutch lever, brakes also .

It depends on the source of the problem. I have had MANY severe aches and pains just from my vertibrate being out of place.
Just last year I had really bad left arm pain I could also feel it in my back. Started from trying to remove ice from drive. One guy had me wrote off for dead from heart attack !
All it was a rib being out of place. Took several visits to the chiropractor for him to get it.

Recently there was discussion about using gin soaked raisons for arthritis, joint pain, etc. Do a quick google search for "raisons soaked in gin". It brings up a peoples pharmacy site with lots of information from users who claim it works well.

Had a strange thing happen about 20 years ago. Right knee bothered me so bad I couldn't hardly walk, and my job required constant walking. Was considering surgery, but hadn't made the commitment. Hobbled around the corner of the chicken house one evening and the wife's big rooster flogged me about belt high, then made one of those wing dragging circles with obvious plans to do it again. Ticked me off and before I thought, I tried to kick him over the henhouse roof. I thought I'd broke something in that sore knee - had to lay down right there and suffer it out. In about ten minutes it started feeling better, and in about an hour the knee pain was completely gone. There must have been a calcium deposit or something in that knee joint. It hasn't bothered me since. We don't have that particular rooster anymore, or I'd offer to loan him to you to kick around a little. Back at the time, my good old neighbor lady wanted to borrow him for her bad knee.

I'm not making light of your knee problem. I've been there too, and it's a constant bother. I hope you get some relief from it soon.

People in Minnesota soak wild blueberries in Ever Clear for about 3 months and that as many as needed for arithis.

Google "AgrAbility"- ideas on making a hand clutch conversion, including mine, which cost about $5. Less stress in the daytime may let you sleep at night.

A simple knee brace goes a long ways and does in fact help a lot. I have a bad right knee and have to wear a brace at times and you would not believe how much wearing one helps. Of course you might also see a doctor and see if a shot would help and or there is a few simple surgery's that can be done that might also help

First, check with a doc to make sure your knees are not bone-on-bone, or another problem.

I use to powerlift, which led to kneecap pain. Older lifter told me to do the following. Every day, do 50 leg extensions and 50 leg curls per leg. Leg extension: sit on a table or tall bench with your thigh(s) horizontal and your lower leg(s) hanging off the edge. Extend your lower leg(s) until horizontal (straight out). Go slow, and extend each leg as far as possible. Leg curl: lay on your belly, and do the opposite as a leg extension. You can add ankle weights if you want, but keep it light to ensure high reps. It will help break up scar tissue. Anyway, worked for me.

I put up with bad knees for years. Had a new left one put in at the end of Sept. and was driving and doing chores in 3 weeks. Going to have the other one done next fall. One of the best things I ever done. Can sleep now and climb on trailer and tractor now better than ever. SEE a doctor and don't put up with the pain. Just get a GOOD doctor one that friends will recommend is the best.
