Wife's KIA Sorento has a perfectly good stereo in it that looks real nice. But isn't MP3 capable.and of course, it's the end of the world.... Only compromise is if I can figure a way to get around it with home burnt CD's... Anyone know what type files are on a cd that you buy in the store and if you can download from the internet in that format? I hate to replace a perfectly good stereo that fits perfect with an aftermarket and adapter kit. It's tractor related cause I got a cab a couple weeks ago, getting new tires tomorrow, and am gonna spring a frontloader on her soon. Fixing her "delima" will mafe it go over a little better

Thanks, Dave

Most all of the new CD players will play an MP3 format. You can also buy a small FM transmitter. It plugs into your MP3 player and you tune into an FM station that has no station on it. My wife had one till we lost it and got along great with it. Battery lasted about 15 hours, same as her MP3 player. I'm surprised the Kia radio doesn't at least have an aux input to plug an MP3 player into.

Dave I use windows media player and I have copied all the cd's (all store bought) .here at home it will allow me to make copies .. Re Burn (copy)them to other blank Cd"S
just won't have proper labels on them.but is also not legal if I were to sell them.

Really wanna impress her? Get an RCA to 3.5 mm adapter
harness and plug it into the back of the Kia radio. Poke it out
of the dash somewhere convenient.

Don't know - Don't listen to the radio much.

Maybe you could get the ytMag Greatest Hits CD for her - Allen, John T, Lou, Larry and a bunch of others!
SWMBO has that on my list - BUT my tractor don't have a radio.

Lemme know where to buy that CD with Allen, John T, Larry, and everybody else. Guaranteed to be a collectors item in the future, and what a pleasure to listen to now!

I bought one of these for my daughter's car. It plugs into the lighter socket. Works great.

WAV. format is the answer to your question. MP3 is compressed, so your wifes player can`t read it. Check your burning program, it will prolly change the format for you. GAS

Thank You!!

there is a company called PIE that makes line-in
and iPod adapters that plug into factory radios.
Not all factory radios are able to do this, but many
are.
google search PIE electronics and good luck :)
