Last night on the news they were talking about the machine to smash atoms together looking for the small endity that makes up the universe. Joe Newman figured that out over 30 years ago & explains it in his book published in 1984.

Got our grand-daughter today. She's busy tearing around and chasing the dog. Keyboard just got dragged off the desk by a terrified mutt trying to escape the five year old. I told her if she didn't stop chasing Jake, I'd put the fear of God in her. It worked. What the hail are these guys hunting for? Just holler at the kid.

Gee, I got a book older than that one that explains how the universe is held together. Seems folks never grow up, always looking for an answer they like, when they don`t like the one given.

It is very hard to grasp these theory's. Once we prove the universe came from that atom and gasses, then we have to wonder what or who created the atoms and gasses. Kinda like what came first? The chicken or the egg. Also , how was the human soul created as that is not a material thing.

Hi Folks.
Years ago I had a minor in physics.
The "God Particle", more commonly known as the Higg's Boson is a scientific attempt to explain why "stuff": electrons, protons, and all the little goodies that make up our universe have mass. It's looking for commonalities.
It may help explain why galaxies, including ours, don't just spin apart.
It's actually pretty cool if you go to one of the layman's sites.
I think God is okay with us trying to figure out everything.
Faith is faith.

ahh.. but now there are more than one big bangs...
its getting much more complicated than just the big bang...

it seems that there are other bangs going on as we speak,, and that now there is an anti-matter version of us..

at least in the latest interation....

The more we know, the more we realize we dont know.

We were very foolish to just think there was only a big bang... something had to lead up to the big bang... and now its starting to become evident.

The problem with that is there is science then there is the Book. In science you have tangible fact and theory, which is an idea which is based on some facts. In the book you have faith. That's it faith. Nothing that you can prove to be fact or fiction. You may believe in it but you have nothing you can prove except your faith.

Oh by the way I'm a Christian.

Thats the way my physics professor explained it. Why, because besides being a PhD in Physics she was formerly a nun.

Very very smart lady who could relate science and religion. She never got bent out of shape by the conservative Christians who couldn"t fathom how she could "believe" science, nor by the atheists who wondered why she wore that "funny thing" on her head.
