560 HYDRAULICS

The problem is: The hydraulic system of my farmall 560 will lift the loader fine but takes forever to lower the bucket. I have system set for dual action. I have changed the filter. If I reverse hoses on tractor, the opposite will happen (slow up but fast down) Any ideas of what is wrong.

Check your couplers on side thats slow

Sounds like there is a safty restrictor in the drop side to keep from dropping too fast and someone getting hurt.

I'd be looking at the valves directly below the steering wheel and ignition key.

Yes it sounds like your couplers. Switch the couplers on the hoses and see what happens. If it's fast one way and not the other that means your pump is putting out the volume it just has a restriction some where.
