here is a link to firestones ag website with recommendations on tire ballast. they recommend either chloride or glycol ased ballast. no alcohol, methanol, ethanol, gasoline ect. thought you may be interested in it.

thanks!... I need 80 gallons for both... Looking like the salt is the cheapest and 40% heavier than the other choices. Just the 1 hour labor @ a hundred bucks. Still quite a bit cheaper than the other options..... and I'd have a hard time getting our little parts store to order me 40 gallons of antifreeze or 80 gallons of washer fluid.............
