tire bead problem

Ive got a front tire on a Kubota B20 that has jumped off the bead twice now. I admit I had a very full bucket on the fel, and was turning, but it shouldnt do that as far as Im concerned. I put 37 pounds of air in the tire I cleaned the bead, and checked for any damage. Any tips to sealing the bead better or what might be happening? Im wondering if the cold weather and frozen ground is causing it, but I havent had a problem with the other tire.

I have had the same problem. As Allan said and as you have already done, more pressure is needed. I have also found that part of the flat process was material imbedding in the bead interfering with the sealing. I took the tire off and did a thorough cleaning and painting of the inside of the rim, but I still have a slow leak. A tube is in that tire's future.

put some tire sealent in the tire and your problem will be solved it'll seal the bead for good and much cheaper and easier. the gallon size comes with a pump

you never paint the inside of the rim!! air will escape under the paint around the bead just like it will on a rusty rim. 37 lbs is not a lot of air for a front tractor tire.whats the side wall of the tire say for air pressure

I have to disagree with you--If you are referring to "Slime", it states clearly on the container that it only seals the thread ares. It also states that it is only good for app. two years and they recommend cleaning and replacement of Slime.
I bought a gallon to try and stop a slow leak with the INFERIOR Carlisle tires that came new on my Kubota. They have a common problem of leaking around bead and sidewalls.
I have had a similar problem as the original post and have decided to change tires to 6 ply.

You may have a weaker rim on that side and it is flexing under the load...
For Tubeless tires that leak around the Bead...
I use Black "Gasket-Maker" around the Bead area on the rim and have NO leaks there..
That same sealer works well on Aluminum wheels that tend to develop a leak around the Bead..

Put them up to at least 50# of air. If the beads are being mechanically broken in frozen ruts then you need to either get a good heavy duty tire with a heavy bead protector or put tubes in them... or both. Are these 10.00-16.5 NHS skid steer tires? If they are... air them to 55# and don't think twice about it.

You had better straighten out the rim manufacturers, all of whom paint or plate their rims. Or, you may want to hang out at the paint forum and maybe you will learn how to make paint stick. We do have the technology!!!

You don't glue the tire bead to the rim, period.

If you can't keep the tire on the rim, you're abusing it. At this point the bead of the tire or rim is quite possibly damaged, and may no longer hold.
