the winter wheat that was planted late is coming up just like you guys said,it was planted very late ,but the weather was good for it to get started, I still pulled some turnips from the patch,we cooked them sunday,... Larry

You sure have a nice farm. The sister of my best friend in highschool visited my small town in the country last week. She said that he and I really enjoyed the country but she likes L.A. where she has lived for 40 years. I'm not picking on L.A., but how in the world would lanes of traffic be better than the rolling hills of a farm.

HEY! Did you steal my flannel?? Mine might have a rip or two more.

Can't beat turnips. Fresh with salt. I grow Kohlrabi which is a german turnip. Those are the only thing I have grown. They make great coleslaw, replace the cabbage with the turnips. They are a little harder on the food processor.

I noticed his flannel shirt too. My dad wore one like that! It was his absolute favorite coat. It had tears and more tears....and lots of patches. My mother would get mad at him all the time for wearing it....said he "looked bad" in it. He loved it! Mother finally found it in the laundry one day and instead of washing it, she burned it......and THAT is when the fight started!!!

Great looking turnips , just bought some to put in a big pot of veggie soup , we put just about every thing that is a veggie in it.
The weather turned cool &rainy so it sould be great .
