10 Dec, almost 50 degrees..... Rained a little in the night and there are fishing worms all over the road...Mean a bad winter coming, or just gonna be soupy???? Nothing below freezing forecast thru Christmas.....2-3 inches of frost and 30 degrees would be more fun......

Looks like april outside right now.....

We've had weeks of 50's-60's November and early December, did make use of it, was nice for working outside but its hard to recall the last time it was too warm to deer hunt, actually, just the temps don't make good hanging weather, have to immediately butcher and freeze, + darned flies still out, I still have mosquitoes,(must the floor drain or something) buzzing in my basement/garage, which is bone dry all year. Usually, when this happens the change back to normal is high winds, storms etc. even the transition back to cold was not all that bad. Perfect right now 30's- 40's F.

Is it really dry in Europe/Germany.? They said the
Rhine was really low, exposing those two bombs in
Kolberz(sp).

This farmers rule is,enjoy it while you've got it. I just went out and was going to haul some hay home while the ground is frozen up real good and there's no snow, but at 25 degrees and a stiff wind,I came right back in the house. Don't need anymore for a few weeks anyway.

I remember one Christmas morning when we milked with all the barn doors open and there were butterflies in the barn, but I don't remember what the rest of the winter was. Must have been back when we had global warming instead of climate change.

I know we don't see eye to eye on some thing but man thats funny!

We have enjoyed a mild fall here in central NC, but these old bones ain't complaining. Today has been one of the coolest days so far, it's 4:45 PM and only 48 deg. But there has been a breeze most of the day which makes it cooler. Helps with the heatin' bills though.

We've had a whole lot of rain that we could have done without. I'm about 2 weeks later than normal cutting wood. Had to circle around thru the woods today to avoid the water holes. Poor guys that still had some corn out are like me waiting for a freeze up. Just hope we can get some cold weather without much snow or rain so the ground can freeze, but supposed to be in the high 40's next week.

Wet and warm fall just means mud to me. I wish it would just freeze up and be done with it. I got critters standing in a foot of mud where usually it's frozen pasture. It'll be even more of a mess in the spring. Been easy on the cord wood supply, but you never get something for nothing - I'd rather it was cold!

There's a saying about northern Maryland weather, "If you like the weather around here, wait for a little while- it'll change."
