Hey,
milked a heel spur til my knee and hip was giving me trouble (walking on the side of my foot and bowlegged). Wife sent me to a doctor that took care of her tennis elbow with shockwave (translated) treatment. Little thing like an air hammer that they run over the painful area which loosens it up for blood flow then a pill twice a day for ten days (optional) to increase circulation so the infection (sore spot) flushes out quicker. 1st treatment last week with instant results, today I got stuck in a room and forgot about for awhile. Plenty of time to play with the machine. Neat looking little air hammer like a big ballpoint pen (1" ? ball). Air pressure at about 45psi, gel for lube then push into painful area and jackhammer....... They remembered me when they heard me doing my own foot  Next time (if) I get one, gonna try an airhammer first. Foot and hip are pain free and knee is just about better. Last treatment next week.........

I have had heel spurs for a while. I have been to 2 different foot doctors, had the injections, wore the boot etc. I have not had the treatment that you have with the air hammer. The thing that works best for me is I now wear the shape-up shoes, the kind with the rounded soles. I think they advertise them for the women that if they wear them, they will shape up their butt. I think this came from a doctor's advice show on TV. These have worked well for me. We walk approximately 2 miles per day. I wear them all the time. Hope this helps someone else.

He imprinted my feet for inserts but when the maker said I couldn't just get 1 set and switch between shoes, I didn't get them (one pair costs 150 euro and 3 treatments costs 135). Cheaper and healthier to just get good shoes to keep from getting the spurs again Something I just noticed today.... Muck boots are not my friend. Wore them all day fooling with the horses and am pouting the rest of the evening. Guess I'm gonna just have to make myself wear laceup boots and get a decent pair.

May look in to a pair of shoes like you're talking about....

Dave, walmart has a dr scholls machine, that maps your foot, for the best fitting heel pad, among those that they sell. Once you know what the number of the orthotic insert, lots of time you can find them on EBay for less than half of the $50.00 retail price.
