Harry Morgan has passed away at the age of 96. MASH was one of my favorite shows growning up. I still get teary eye'd watching re-runs sometimes.

I wish they still made tv shows like that.

I have a lot of Leigon friends that served in Korea...the forgotten war.

Rest in peace Col. Potter....Thanks for the memories.

Harry was a darned good actor. Yer right, they don't make shows like that anymore. "Course, 96 years ain't bad either, I should be so lucky.

I have heard that he was as nice in real life as he was as Col. Potter. The photo of his wife on his desk actually was his wife in real life. He was married to her for 45 years, until her death in 1985.

Man i loved his cus words!! Pony Pucks!! Pigieon Pellets!!! He was the american icon for Grandpa in my opinion. Wonder what Alan Alda thinks about his passing. Hawkeye was and still is great.

Bummer. Saturday night my wife and dug thru our old dvd's looking for something to watch, and I picked out "Snowball Express" with Harry and and Dean Jones. Harry was great in that movie, I love the Snowmobile Race!!!

It is a Disney Flick the entire family can watch.

One of the first shows on our TV in the 50's was Drag Net A show about two cops in LA Calif. The guy has been around a long time.

Posted before BUT
Hope Radar is taking real good care of his horse!

Sure don't make any TV shows like that anymore.

Hadn't heard that he was gone, what a loss to the world. I loved that show. Even though I'm only old enough to have caught it in reruns I think I've seen pretty much every episode at least twice, and would gladly watch them a dozen times more simply because they were so good.

I saw a western some years ago with Harry as a cowboy, he had the name of "Cotton" .
Anybody know the film.?? I remember it because of his distinctive voice.

R.I.P. Harry.

He also played the role of Pete Porter on the TV show "December Bride" and "Pete and Gladys", plus lots of other roles in TV and the movies.

I liked MASH as a kid but never cared to watch the reruns now that I'm an adult - just seems too corny. Lots of other old sitcoms are much funnier today. I you watch old reruns of "All in the Family" you'll wonder how they ever got tha show on the air.

The one movie roll I remember Morgan for was John Wayne's "The Shootist". I remember seeing him in an old WW2 movie (made in the 1940s) and Morgan already looked kind of old then.

Watched two episodes of M*A*S*H last night.

First one was an early one with Harry Morgan as a Brig. Gen. inspecting the 4077th.

The second one was the first episode of Harry Morgan as Col. Potter the new CO of the 4077th.

Big poat about this on "Tales" day before yesterday. As far as MASH goes, never cared for it after Henry and Trapper left. Nothing against Harry Morgan, the show was just crap after that.

Harry Morgan was also in "Stragetic Air Command" with Jimmy Stewart, filmed, if I recall correctly, in 1952.
