Chains on the way priority mail cheaper than what the PA folks (tirechains.com) raised their price to....

Not gonna snow now.....

Last year, I wasn't prepared for the weather that hit us. Ran out of the little bit of salt I had with none to be had (used sand), and the chains for my little tractor were screwed up.
Got a half ton of salt in the feedroom and new chains on the way. Ain't gonna snow now

Done now.....

Glad you found them. Greensboro is about 60 mile
from me. Just curious, where you from?

Vulcan tire in Pennsylvania always treated me well. I think they still sell chains. Got a heck of a deal on six studded tires. (I love passing those $60,000 Mercedes on an icy hill with my old Dodge.):)

SE Ohio but been inn Germany the last 22 years.....

Well at least you made a deal and are getting what you need. The thing I've wondered about these chains when comparing, are they (well the cross chains or whatever configuration) fabricated from the same kind of material, specifically an ASTM or other reference standard hardness ? I did see that reference at tire chain dot com, as far as being hardened, but have often wondered amongst those who fabricate these, are they all using the right material, one that is resistant to abrasion. We have a set on our 3600 ford that have seen quite a bit of use and show no wear that I can see.

I was in Germany the winter of 64 & 65, went home in Dec 66, I never saw the snow last long enough to really need tractor chains. Oh yeah, I was at Larsen Barracks Kitzingen. Hq & Co A 703rd Maint Bn. Saw those goofy (to me ) Germans go out and plow the snow under to keep it from running off.

I'm about 20 miles away in Schweinfurt. Kitzigen closed down and was turned back over to the Germans about 4 years ago. Hope the snow/ice don't last long or come at all..... Better to have and not need than need and not have.....
