How the heck do women do it. Rant (driving)

Wife went to town this morning and then called later telling me she had driven into a ditch. Weather here is not all that bad on she was on a gravel road. So how the heck does some one drive into a ditch on a day that has no snow to warm for ice but ya a little on the wet side. So now I get to repair the exhaust on the car all because she was not paying attention to what she was doing

lol just try to find a woman driving who is not also putting on makeup and talking on the phone at the same time, lack of attention when driving will bite ya

Lol I know what you mean. I see a lot of women putting on their makeup, texting, driving, AND drinking an expensive coffee, all at the same time. Now if men attempted this, the whole world as we know it would have ended yesterday.

After thirty years on the road. I have seen just about every crazy thing a woman can do behind the wheel. From make up to changing panty hose. Plus some things you can't post on here.

(quoted from post at 09:24:29 12/05/11) She probably had a picture of you on the dashboard and was gazing wistfully at it and not watching the road. :0)

I'm gettin this picture................

catfood bowl on the frt porch..Rich in a tanktop stretched across his belly and a pair of spiderman boxers settin in the recliner inside the door with a shotgun.waitin on a coon or skunk.........

EEEEEEEWWWWWW no wonder she ran off the road...............

On the phone w/ mine this morning. She called, I'm at work. "Oops, I just slid through an intersection, I'll call you back later"...

Same woman drove the car at good 10 feet off of the driveway last year. Got it good and stuck in the snowy ditch. Tracks were a perfect straight line, no swerving, no braking until the bottom of her SUV was touching the snow...

I won't say a thing about my wife's driving. She's not perfect but I'm far from it too! If she slid off the road it'd be by accident. If I did, its probably from doing something I shouldn't have tried in the first place.

I did the same thing. lucky for me that i was only going about 5 mph. Was doing about 80 before i ran off. Wasent sick or nothing the next thing I new i was off of the road. I had a stroke. Maybe better go to Doc. and get checked out. you never know.

I was driving down the road one day and met a guy with a white beard. I took another look, it was shaving cream and he was shaving as he drove, couldn't believe it.

I try not to think of it,I have a daughter, two grandaughters,a dil, all still driving vehicles i insure! wife recently had her dl taken away because of health reasons, she actually did pretty good driving over the years, though i absolutly refused to ride with her unless forced! LOL and i never could get her to put gas in a vehicle.Forget about asking her to check the oil or something, that never happened. I had a gal run me totally off the road into the ditch a while back. Last I saw before i started trying to miss a tree was her turned completly around in drivers seat slapping the crap out of a kid. I dont think she even knew she was in my lane until she hit the ditch on my side also. .

We all make mistakes---Did she say anything about you almost burning down your shop from welding/burning???
Many years ago, I almost burned a tractor up because of cleaning with GASOLINE! My wife never said a word!

Don't feel too bad. Years ago my wife ran into the ditch because there was a logging truck coming the other direction and she was afraid of it. Really screwed up the suspension.

That's nothin. Diesel truck + fill-up with gasoline = phone call... "Hey, the truck is running funny... should I pull over?"

Rich, I've pulled Marilyn out three
Times over the last 20 years or so. Plymouth satellite, Fury, and chrysler New Yorker. None of those three tanks had damage but the seat belt bruised her once. The New Yorker even plowed the sod off the top of a field lane. I pulled the car out, pulled the grass out of the bumper and sent her on her way. Jim

Confession time, I got a few. Ever had someone say, ":stop on the side, I want to do etc." You no sooner get on the side of road and squish, all four tires are up to the axle. Never remember to check condition of road. Getting better at it though. Dave

When it rains or snows i become a GoGet-er,, I takes her to Work and Then I Go Get Her ,,,.early In Our LOVE LIFE togethher i followed my Sara home,, brake Lites were on 3/4s time.. told her i think needed to adjust the pedal switch ,, She said NO It was probably because she drives with both FEET ! and always has her toe moderately restin on the brake ,, Well that Explains why she was getting a full mile to a gallon on gas when she drove the cherokee i had,, And Brake pad LIFE? ,, Shes a KILLER! .. LOL,,. over the yrs. she has improved somewhat on her left foot brake pressure ,, she would make a Great Cop ,, They drive with both ft >> BUT I MUST ADD ,, SHe Has NEVER scrapped, SCRATCHED ,DENTED anything around here ,or wrecked , Contrary to the Author, who has flipped, phked-up , junked , crunched , smashed far more stuff than i care to tell,.. LOL even been involved in un avoidable 4 vehicle pileup ...

Ya a 2 foot driver on an automatic is a problem from the get go and that cost a lot in the long run for brake pads/shoes. I almost never have any cars/trucks with automatics in them due to that fact. The car she ditched was a Toyota Corolla SR-5 with a 5 speed more or less a sports car and all that they did not add to it was thew rails to run on. This car will corner like no ones business and gets 40 plus MPG and the more you get on it the better the MPG

I had a older gentleman in the shop for brakes, the car had 8,000 miles on it. he was back at 12,000 and this time he needed rotors too. He had a fit but I charged him about half price and two days later I followed him down the road for 2 miles and the brake lights never went off!

Yep a 2 foot driver is an accident waiting to happen a lot of time. Plus hard on parts and the other guy does not know what he or she might be doing that is why the law states you can not drive that way and if you get caught doing so you can loose your license but it is also one that is hard to prove

Nothing wrong with being a two foot driver as that is how most race car drivers (and I) do it. Now constantly riding the brakes is a whole 'nuther thing.....That can heat up the pads and boil the fluid and then you have NO brakes!
