Ford Jubilee rear-end problems

Gonna go retrieve a jubilee with some problems today, just thought I might get an idea from you gurus on what we might be facing. It belongs to a friend, and he said that it pulls just fine on level ground, but if you start driving downhill it clunks/ratchets in the rear end or transmission and coasts downhill. I`m guessing pinion/output shaft bearings or something similar. Won`t know for sure until we get it in the shop and opened up, any ideas to speed up my troubleshooting?

Turns out to be a blown out ring gear, have not been able to find a source for a new one. Any hints?

So would a 631 workmaster be the same? I was going by what the owner thought it was, but it just did not look quite right so I scraped all the paint of the ser. number, tirns out it is a 631.
