Nobody cares about anyone other than themselves now days. Who would do such a horrible thing?

Do I see a civil suit on the horizon for damages and legal fees?

Did the cops and the judge get any steaks?

My Grandson got in a fight in school.This was his first time,they handcuffed him and took him to the sheriff office.He was taken to court the same day,and put on probation,Two weeks later went back to court and received 1 year probation,and 25 hrs of community services.If he makes any bad grades or breaks probation in any way they claim they will send him to a detention center,and he has to go through a mental evaluation.This is done to every child that gets into a fight in school

If he knew he messed up in all the things he did, then he knew what he was doing was wrong, but he still did the crimes. Maybe I'm wrong, but I have a suspicion mommy and daddy bailed him out trouble too many times when he was a lad. Respect for other people's property was never taught to him and it sounds like the chances of it sinking in now are slim. We can't fill our prisons with petty criminals but we can't let them run free either. Jim

So you would rather he be expelled to wander the street all day long with nothing to do other than getting into trouble? As a result he might never finish school--take the easy way out and become a career criminal rather than working since jobs often require a diploma.

Schools are very limited on what they can and can't do. Depending upon the fight, what started it, those involved, etc. he might have only received an in school suspension instead of an expulsion.

For sure this no doubt got his attention to straighten up and fly right.

What's the school gonna do?

Yeah, let's send the kid home where he can sit around watch tv and play video games all day. Some punishment.

Legally you can't MAKE a kid do anything these days. You can't even touch them. The kid could be stabbing another to death, and you can't lay a finger on them. If you do you end up in jail and the kid with the knife goes free and gets rich.
