Tractor Therapy

We've had some beautiful weather the last few days here in NE Texas and have been catching up on some mowing.

Answered a post on the John Deere forum yesterday about how to get on a JD M and decided to mow a couple of areas with "Sparky" our 51M and Bush Hog finishing mower.

Both areas have some pine trees with low limbs and thought the small tractor would work best.

Nancy asked me to mow this area so figured she wouldn't mind me using "<a href="http://youtu.be/CLVwEDdD4XI">Sparky</a>" her 51M to do the job.

Don't get to spend much time on "Sparky" and really enjoyed riding around on the little tractor.

Also did some mowing yesterday afternoon with "Rusty" our 51MT and Bush Hog finishing mower.

Here's the <a href="http://youtu.be/nDtoIMyTnn0">ride over to the field</a> on "Rusty".

Nice pictures and you still have leaves on trees and green grass. Here in North central Indiana everything is turning brown. Put mowers away yesterday and serviced the tractor and loader for snow. We missed a 6-8" snow storm yesterday it tracked about 25 miles east of us.

Thanks for the ride, put er on full screen and used the head phones great to hear "Rusty" barking at those fine horses. only one showed interest tho .

We"ve had some rain the last several weeks and the Winter grass is coming on strong.

Drought killed several of our oak trees, but at least they will provide us enough uncut firewood for life.

"Rusty" has been really busy the last couple of weeks.

Brought the tractor in from Dallas a couple of months ago and had some motor work done; broken spring on an intake valve.

After repairs solved one problem, the tractor would run for about 5 minutes and die.

Replaced the 6v coil and coil wire and solved that problem.

Tractor runs good now and have been using it to mow several fields.

James, yall lose many pines up your way? i swear mine got cooked to death during that 70+ days of 100+ weather...couple pines had their feet in water along tanks,so i know they had enuff to drink.

Yes, we lost a several large pine trees and even more large oak trees.

All of the young pine sapling died.

Can't do much with the dead pines, but have a lifetime supply of oak firewood.

yeah i lost quite a few water/live oaks and pin oaks too...i wont miss them limb droppin pin oaks but the other ones sure make a hole in the sky...even lost some yaupon...yaaaaay
