I received a message from Paypal to give all my information for my account ss number, DOB, bank acc number, and paypal account number. They say I need to update all my information. Anyone else raceived this from Paypal? Stan

We haven't. I've always heard that anytime you are asked to confirm all your info, that you should NOT do it! Someone is just trying to steal your info so they can rip you off. PayPal already has your information. They don't need to ask for it again.

scam...scam... scam....

you should only recieve notice if a credit card expires and then you ONLY update the info by opening a NEW web page and going to paypal.

NEVER click on the link in the email. It will be bogus everytime.

So unless your credit cards have aged out. its a scam. and its still probably a scam. and did I tell you the part about it being a scam??

Complete and utter scam. However, if you want to lose your money and create a ton of work for yourself, then go ahead.

However, I wouldn't.

best way to check is log on to your PayPal acc. {{{{not from that email]]]]] and check your messages if you have any. {{{{you should log on to your acc. to make sure everything is up to par every once in a while. {{{{BUT NEVER DO IT FROM A EMAIL YOU GET}}}}}}}

IT IS A SCAM. I get the same email twice a day. Just got one from nnalert Clinton today. Asking for all my information to send me my 10 million dollar ATM card.

I think that is information they would not ask for, like the banks.. smell a scam.
They [pp]would possibly have all of that

you are certainly up with the elite. I only managed to get mine from the Director,FBI.I thank him for his concern for little old me.

DUH. Why would one of your current accounts need to "reaccount" itself? You are not serious about sending out new info are you?
If so I can sell you some nice 1 ounce gold coins for $200.

No, nobody else has got this message from Paypal. Neither did you. You got a message from a scammer, pretending to be Paypal.

Pretty easy to see how this scam sometimes works.

Forward it to paypals fraud division. If its legit they will respond that it is, if it isnt they will tell you. Either way, dont send anything. I got hacked once on that scam.

Paypal tells you all the time that they will never ask for personal info in a email! If you have to update anything they will require you to log into your account!

yes it's a scam they give you a link to a site that really looks like the paypal site and unless you look at the address bar you don't know you are really giving your information to the scammers. If you get a e-mail from anyone with a link to the site, do not use it, follow your own path to the site.

look at paypal as any other financial institution....Never respond to emails requesting personal/account info.... There should be a 1-800 number on the real paypal website or a secure way of emailing them.
