I have recently acquired a Behlen power steering pump, and was wondering what all I needed to put it on my tractor; also how do I hook the power steering up aswell.Any comment would help.Thanks.

If someone is going to help you they will need to know specifically what make and model tractor you have as well as the pump.

Here"s a picture of what I have.

First off, that is not a pump. They are called Torque Generators or steering motors. That unit came off a Farmall H or M, probably a M. Despite what Gordo wrote, they are good and a complete system would bring $500-$800 on eBay.

If you don't have live hydraulic power all you need is a V-Belt driven PS pump and bracket. If you do have live hydraulics, a priority valve ($100) from Stieners will complete the system. The seller should have one or the other if he removed it from the tractor. You may want to replace any old hose.

Here is a picture of an old priority valve. New ones look a little different. The second is a PS pump.

It would be much better to have the CharLynn torque geberator with the belt driven Saginaw pump.
