Here in the rural parts outside of Seattle we are having a wind storm. No,..it's not like wind storms in my native state of Michigan during tornado season, but when winds here in Washington State gets above 30 m.p.h.,....one must worry about falling trees. The trees here are huge. I have some on my property well over 150 feet tall. So, just to be safe,..I pulled the tractors out of the barn, and put them in the "trucks" garage. I have a piece of mind now!

Pretty well calm here on south Vancouver island,is it a southeaster? They're the ones that do the most damage around here. The tops of the large fir trees are all bent over from the prevailing westerlies which blow 30mph or more for 2-3 days at a time.

Hey Detmurds, i am in middle tennessee and we have our share of violent weather...dont laugh but when bad weather approaches i pull my NAA in my single car garage and the car stays outside....stay safe!

A couple of years ago, when high winds from storms because of hurricane Ike were predicted, we moved all the tractors out into an open field well away from any trees. Didn"t worry about the vehicles!

That tells you where our priorities are!

Only had to pull one tractor, *Uncle Earl" our 39B, into the field that was not running.

"<a href="http://youtu.be/FmjcFxJeVBI">Uncle Earl</a>" is the second tractor from the right with no grills.

Weather from hurricane IKE went directly over our farm.

Thankfully we only lost a few limbs with no property damage.

We are encountering the winds along with much higher than normal rain here in the portland area. Guess its a great time for me to be stuck here in the house with a messed up hip.
A buddy sent me this pix a couple of months ago when we got our 1st rain of the fall.
Tim in OR
the caption he sent with the pix was
"You might be a redneck when something has to sit out in the rain"
