I'm not going to even try and understand the mentality of people like this. The "friggin" news is just chock full of people that just aren't right.

He sure made the best move a person could make in that situation, immediately escape and evade, as soon as he knew he was captured, no way he'd have made it to safety by giving in or trying to deal with animals like them. It's hard for most to even imagine being confronted with something like this, you just don't know who or what you are dealing with anymore. A person has to always be aware and be prepared the way things are today. Fortunately for this person, it sounds like he made his decision and took action without hesitation.

Similar thing happened in MO back ten years or so. Couple would hire guys to work for them, then get them to sign insurance papers on cattle, then kill them and collect the money. They killed two men if I remember right. Some people will do anything for money.

A whole family was murdered by druggies who responded to their Craigslist ad for jewelry for sale. Probably not a good idea to sell jewelry on Craigslist.

I thought all you agriculture types were complaining that you couldn't find anyone to work on your farms except illegals?!?! Yet, here we have two gentlemen willing to relocate a long way from home for farm work. There are certainly others.
