Specs on IH BC144, BD144 or BD154 engines?

I'm hoping to find someone, somewhere that has one of these engines sitting around. In a tractor or out. I need some measurements.

The "B" in these IH engines stands for "British." Use in many farm and industrial tractors. B-250, B-275, B-414, 424, 444, 2444, 2424, 354, 364, 384, industrial 3414, 3444, TD-5 crawler, etc.

I have a 3414 backhoe wheel loader and it's parked 800 miles for home. I need the specs on the hydraulic pump drive where it bolts to the crank pulley. It's held on by four bolts and I need to know their spacing. I want to build a new one and have it ready to use next time I travel to where the hoe is.

Note that the ealier farm tractors e.g. the B-250 and B-275 do not have the crank pulleys drilled for the pump drive, like the later engines do.

You realize that the bolt holes are machined to use rubber bushings for the bolts to go thru? Also that the unit is splined for shaft? I can send you the part no.s and the dealer can give you the specs.
I have mine off the tractor and cannot seem to put my hands on right now, or I would measure it for you.

I know what it looks like. I just don't happen to be anywhere near it now and won't until spring.

I know the part # but it doesn't do me much good. Even if I found all the new parts, they'd cost more then the entire machine is worth. I can make them much cheaper.

The OEM setup uses a cast hub that attached to the crank pulley with four bolts. That hub has a splined hole in the middle. From there is an intermediate shaft and another coupler. These parts all vary depending on the size and age of the pump. Some pumps were 13 spline, some were 23 spline, and some had no splines and used a single keyway.

None of that matters to me. I have a new pump with the 7/8", 23 spline shaft just like Deere,Case, Ford, etc. use. I just need the bolt spacing on the crank pulley so I can make my own hub and weld a splined coupler to it.

As I recall the four bolts are NOT symetrical. Each pair has a different distance from each other. I had this all written down but lost my notes. I need to use my backhoe on my next trip and I know what is on there now is ready to break. The spines are almost gone.

Is that your way of expressing some sort of backhanded scorn? If you are annoyed - sorry. I don't tend to say "thank you" to everyone that responds to every post - especially when my question on specs wasn't answered.

If we all did that, there would be little room for anything else. I was hopefully waiting for an answer to my question. I didn't think you were done yet and thought maybe you were going to measure your pulley and respond again. And yeah - at that point I would of been quite thankful and expressed it.

That being said, I appreciate your effort thus far (except the sarcastic remark).

I have all the OEM parts books and tech books. As to dealers? No Case-IH dealer I know is going to have a clue about those specs. It's an industrial part and Komatsu is in charge of what is left of that division. Maybe an old-time dealer somewhere with mechanics that were alive when this machine was current. Around here the Case-IH and the Deere dealer have people in their 20s that are clueless to older equipment.
