Go to work in the dark, go home in the dark. The only daylight I see is lunchtime & weekends. And the sad part is the snow and cold will bee here soon (MN). Thinking about buying some construction flood lights so I can do yard work during the week to keep my sanity.

There's a name for that.... switch to florescent lights wherever possible and keep things bright as possible. You'll feel much better. If a 16hr light will make a chicken lay eggs all year, think what it can do for you........

My wife has the winter crabbies.I tolerate it pretty well but when she gets in a bad one, I shine a flashlight in her eyes... Don't do alot for the mood but sure makes her forget what she's nagging about at the moment

(quoted from post at 12:37:23 11/09/11) Dave. red dot from a 9mm does the trick lol.

I ain't stupid...That woman is ruthless and hateful this time of year.... Only gun I got is a BB gun and it's in the barn.....

The snow and cold already showed up this morning in SE MN. I feel the same way about the short days, every year I get frustrated when it starts feeling like I'm only visiting my farm on the weekends. By December, my eyes must adjust to the dark because I stop noticing. I recommend one of those Energizer LED headlamps. Three AAA batteries a season is a lot cheaper than the floodlights :)

If he did that, the next report from 26Red would probly be "I started laying these huge eggs, and now my rear end hurts!"

Saw an old Wise Indian saying the other day...

" Only Whiteman could find a way to cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom to get a longer blanket"
