The steel supply line on my 4386 seems to be leaking oil from somewhere just above the front axle. When the hydraulics are used, it really pours the oil out.

My question is, what is the easiest way to get to the connection under the cab to take the line out? The connection on the backside is more open but looks like its going to be a challenge as well. Any suggestions?

If it were I..................

I'd find the problem area of the line up front, cut it out and then use a compression fitting (or two) to tie 'er back together again.

Does the cab have a removable floor panel to acces the area you need to ge to? (Steiger has this) Or, can you loosen or unbolt the cab mounts and jack up the cab for access? In desperation, I know of a couple people who cut an opening in the floor. Before taking too much apart, you really need to locate the exact source of the leak. Wayne
