Out of oil..piston and cylinder shot.....
Had this thing just over 3 years and maybe went thru a quart of oil between yearly changes......

Oil was just below the add mark 2 weeks ago. Only rode it twice in that time and no leaks. Didn't think about checking it the other day.....

live and learn........... got a used jug and piston on the way.........
 
Dave,question .If you knew the engine was low on oil a couple of weeks ago, why didn't you add oil then? Supposed to pre fire every engine before putting it on line. saves one he-l of a lot of money and hard work. Just a suggestion from a non star of Y.T clan.lol LOU.
 

Typo........it's late... Meant just below the full mark..... Usually check things before starting each time but had a lot on my mind, a lot to do, and only a couple hours to do it that day......
That couple of seconds would sure have been time well spent.... Just strange where the oil went so fast............
 
If you park it outside, did some kids suck the oil out of it?? Just wondering. Lots of sugar, sand, etc ends up in gas tanks.
