power came back on today

our power has been off since sunday morning due to many trees and limmbs taking down wires after saturdays storm ,When I got home frome work today the power was on.

Ours went out early Sunday morning as well, still no sign of power. Heard via FD that there was ONE (1) National Grid truck in town today, with a few thousand people still without power. Web site says our street will get power restored at 11:45 pm November 3rd... but every outage on the amp I looked at says the same date and time.

At least I finally got the little diesel generator running, so we got most of the conveniences, we're luckier than some others...

Been watching both national news and weather for y"alls area and looks like a pretty heavy snow storm for this time of year.

There is still 500,000 people without power in CT.

They are saying Monday at midnight for myself.....

So how cold was it??? Back in 2007 we where out of power for more then a week and temps where down in the low 10s at best but then we had an ice storm. Hope you did not have temps down low and kept warm

My parents in western MA have been without power since Saturday night at about 8:30. They are saying hopefully by this Saturday it will be back. Phone and cable company were there yesterday so they have phone now at least. Cell phone service was spotty in there area until yesterday. Most of their town is still out of power. My Father said they plowed the road with a loader Sunday morning because of all the down trees and lines. Plow trucks couldn't move the wet snow and debris. They had a foot and a half.

"National Grid" bought out "Niagara Mohawk" a few years ago.
Big outfit here in upstate NY.
