Allan, just wondering is the machine over this guys right shoulder that MIDI thingy you use?

I have only seen bits and pieces of yours on the kitchen table.

I don't recognize the tune , but it can be catchy .
little differant style

I really enjoyed the music but am wondering tho , does Allen have his own group or what ? What does he look like amongst the guys I see in the videos . The blonde haired guy , is that Allen ? Man he plays a beautiful guitar & I envy anyone that has that skill . I took a few lessons with my daughter years ago , but when she quit , so did I . Could someone email me some links to Allens group & his music ? Thanks & God bless, Ken

Hellofa tune and that ol'boy can play! :>)

Naw, that "thing" over his shoulder is a computer monitor. :>)

"Midi" is nothing more than a computer language which allows all kinds of music gear to talk to each other.

Hi Ken,

No, that isn't me and I'm not nearly as good as that feller. :>(

Think I'm gonna put up a new tune tomorrow, but in the meantime, if you go to YouTube and type Mrunit7 in the search bar, it should bring me up.

Allan

don't know what blond fella yer talking about.
only few of us posted something.
I couple years back I suggested some auditions for a YT band. so far we got
Allan -lead guitar.
Me - backup rhythm guitar, Vocals
Lou - as piano player
Larry Stinescorner Harmonica.
John T - 5 string banjo.
TomH in Pa's wife as fiddle player need more posts of her (Hint
Zachary Hoyt Second banjo , Baritone Vocals.

I sure hope I didn't miss anybody ,but just search YT Band and you'll get 325 hits

Was going to make a couple more videos with my new camera this weekend but the big snowstorm put the kabash on it.

Here's Orange Blossom from last time; it was getting pretty dark at this point so don't pay much attention to the terrible video quality. See if you recognize the extra two tunes in the middle.

I'll do vocals and a poor strumming guitar. Sang baritone/bass in the elite NAval Air Training Command Choir. NY world's Fair, NBC Christmas with Andy Williams. Auburn U Glee club Invite, (we KILLED the sorority girls). And of course the classic recording of the Navy Hymm ( Eternal Father , strong to save....

I was referring to the blonde fella that played the guitar when I opened that link . How do you all get together when you live so far apart ? I don't understand all the abilities of electronics but I do like the music . God bless

Great fiddlin !!!
Sounds to me like the Black Mountain rag is in there, can't put a handle on the other one. I think there is third at the intro that I heard at square dances. She does take her music seriously though .. tell her to smile a bit .That fellow playin the southpaw guitar aint bad either ..

Boy can that lady stroke that violin . I don't know music well at all so for me to recognize anything - no I don't . But it was enjoyable . Thank you & God bless

Thank you Allen , I'll do that rite now . I really enjoy buttin in on conversations like these so to hear some good music . God bless, Ken

I was looking at a few of his vids and the screen has different things like a keyboard or a console of some type on it. wondering if it is used for almost same thing as MIDI.

LOL We are all spaced out .. (Cyber space)

There was a fellow awhile back wanted us to send him a song And a couple tracks(same one) in a certain key. He wanted to put us together digitally, and play it back. I thought it to be a fun thing , but it hasn't come about.??

"Hi Ken,

Don't see why not Heck ya can do that good with a broke wrist !! I heard ya !

Mornin' Roy,

Say, I found a picture of my music gear that I thought you might like.

The heart of the outfit is that flat gizzmo in front of the rack. It's called a sound module and is imported from Italy; very spendy, but it has the "live" sound samples that I need for backup.

My guitar "talks" (you can see the chord plugged into the front of the rack) to all that gear via midi signals and makes the equipment respond to what I'm playing at any given time.

Because of the cost (and a good bit of trial and error), it took me 10 years and a whole trainload of cash to put this darned thing together.

Anyhoo, this is what I use instead of live players. Might add that my "band" never gets drunk or nor do they fail to show up. :>)

Hi Roy,

I am still willing to try to put something together for the fun of it. As I recall we got hung-up trying to get somebody to lay down a basic rhythm track of some sort to try to get us all together on the same page.

Seems like it was last holiday season we were talking about putting this together. Maybe we can try again. Need to come up with a song, key, basic rhythm track, etc. I probably have some time over the next month to do some assembly if it gets kicked off. I suggested Silent Night last year since it is pretty simple, everybody will know it, it fits the season, ...

See if you can recruit enough participants to kick this off.

If someone wants to get the Yesterday"s Tractor Band organized, one song I"d vote for is Hank Williams" Jambalya.

Jr. does it with a bit more guitar than his Dad, I don't care as much for the orchestration though.

Jr version

The original by Sr. uses mostly fiddle breaks but the possibilities are endless:
