1917 Moline, 36? Fordson, 42 Ford

I lost my dad 3 years ago and since I am a city girl, I really need to sell his personal tractors. The 1917 Moline was my G-Grandfathers, the Fordson my G-fathers. The Ford is a smaller tractor with a back scoop which my dad used all the time to move rock, etc. I had no prob selling his farm tractors. But these are harder. Is there a site I can go to say what my asking price should be? The Moline is beautiful. It ran when my dad put it on a trailer, but that was 40 years ago. Fordson needs a some paint--it is grey--what I would call primer paint. I am not sure what color is should be. It also needs a steering wheel-the frame is there so I wonder if it was wood. I do not know if it runs. I think he said it did when my G/F died but that was in 1963. Any help would be appreciated.

Price is heavily dependent on condition, which is hard to guess at from what you've posted here and is generally hard to guage without seeing a tractor in person, and location. Where are you located? I might be interested in the Moline.

The Moline and the Fordson are both old enough and rare enough (especially the moline) that it will be nearly impossible to find any kind of pricing guide.

Just a wild, way out in left field guess on my part, but maybe $7,000 to $10,000 on the Moline, and maybe around $4,000 to $6,000 on the Fordson. Like I said, it's a wild guess.

Would that Moline be the model with the drive wheels in front? If so the value is sky high. A few years ago estate in neighborhood had 2 of them in rough non complete condition and they brought at auction over $10,000 each and one went overseas with a very hefty shipping bill. That is about the time they went from the 2 cylinder engine to the 4 cylinder and these were the 4 cylinder models and the 2 cylinder I would even hate to give a guess as to what it would bring but complete And Good could be $50,000. I have an orignal owners manual for a 4 cylinder version that my grandpa had and I would guess just that manual would bring $100 at auction. Tractor was long gone when I was born 68 years ago.

If the Moline is a Universal D as I think Leroy is trying to say, it is not worth anywhere near $50 000, especially if it's not in pristine condition. Saw a Universal D sell for $17 000 this summer, in restored condition.

If you can post pictures and serial numbers if possible of all the tractors on here someone will be able to identify what you have and give a rough estimate on price based on varying conditions.
