Hi Bill, just been looking at the entry of John Deere tractors at our show. I noticed we have a 820,630,730,and a 830, also most models in the 10 and 20 range of new generation tractors, Also I am hoping to get at least one of every model offerd to the UK farmer from 1917 to 1949 when we stopped importing American tractors as we had run out of dollers. MJ

Hi Bill,my main intrest is IH David Brown and Fordson. I have got a 1940 Farmall BN. 1942 W6. 1945 Farmall H. 1949 Farmall M 1955 B250 1961 B275. 1936 Ferguson Brown. 1950 DB Cropmaster. 1962 DB990 1956 Fordson Diesel Major. 1958 Power Major. 1951 Ferguson TED20. 1932 Case C. As you can see I am not into tractors were you sit on a seat and turn a key to start them. Most of the above tractors I am the second owner and have the history of them. I am taking the Farmall BN and the Major to the Newark Tractor Show. MJ

Well done Bill, the B450 and the 614 and 634 put so much smoke out as you started them they go nicknamed Doncaster Disasters in this part of the UK. In the 1970s I sold IH tractors P Platts and Son Ltd and I had great success selling the 946 and 1046 tractors but the only thing that let them down was the cab. MJ
