More than likely a scam. I saw several like that last year hear in Iowa. Everyone I checked on was some tale about being out of state and selling the tractor locally. Always wanted wire payment before any details of where the tractor was at. Pure scam.

Bet its free shipping, as well. Send your money, we'll ship it to you, and if you don't like it, we'll refund. Except they never get past the "send your money" step.

Just insist on seeing the rig before you buy- they'll lose interest in you real fast.

I found a camper that was a really good price, I asked where it was, and he dropped the price another 5000.00. Total scam

Its hotter than a firecracker, or a serious scam. Ask him for the Serial #, & tell him You want to check with local law enforcement!

if it's too good to be true ! just ask them for a phone number , or tell them you live close to it and will pay cash when you pick it up . Weeds em out fast

I flagged it as spam. I think they did the same thing last year at this time. Merry Christmas, I don't think so.

I'm thinking perhaps a misprint.

I saw one of those setting on the floor a couple few years ago up at the Deere guy while picking up some parts, and I don't recall what it was going for, but was maybe something like $15,000.00? I'm not sure. Perhaps they meant $12,750.00 and it came out as $2,750.00? I have to admit, was probably best equipped garden tractor I ever saw.

I know that a few years before that when I asked about the '70 4520 that was setting out there needing some serious work, and was about 20% on the rears, he said something like $30K or maybe $35K or maybe $40K, I don't recall, and I asked "WHAT?!?!?". Turns out that he was talking about those new 4520's on display out front that resemble this thing in your picture that are not really 4520's, nor will they ever be. When I pointed to the real deal 4520 and asked "You want that much for that?", he said "Oh, that one" and looked it up. $4,500.00 for the real 4520, so I went and got the cash and came back and took it with me. She needs a paint job and aint pretty, but she sure is stout.

It's a scam. There are several of these ads every week on our local page. It's usually a JD or Kubota compact that is priced way too good to be true. Flag them as spam.

Nope, no misprint. The price is really $2,750. Problem is, there's not actually a tractor- just a picture of one. A guy below found the actual item, on Craigslist- they just copy a picture of something from somewhere else on the web.

They promise free shipping, and if you don't like the item, they'll come pick it up the refund your money. What could possibly go wrong?

You can never actually look at it, because its already palleted for shipment, or is at a mission being closed down in Timbuktu, or something.

You send them the money, and never hear from them again. And how you gonna find them? And where ya gonna sue them?

Potential problem- we don't have an extradition treaty with Nigeria.

There was one in the photo ads here a couple days ago for the same money-different picture though. I reported it and it disappeared.

i have seen this scam many of times on craigslist in Colo. even though it shows up in a lot of Craig listings every where.....i just flag it...if any one ever believes it to be a deal, wait until you send money orders, etc to a bogus address......just flag it,,,when have you seen a 15k tractor for under 3k....been there, done that....
