did not go to pa today,had to go to work,good part is I got to work with my foreman. I have worked with this company for over eight years, and worked with a lot of people before that,and he is the nicest man I have ever worked with, It does not matter what the task is ,it is always a pleasure to work with him. Today we built a pit so a new sewer line could connect to and old line, We will put a concrete lid on it and a manhole, we left the front open,they did not have the fitting they wanted so when they put the new pipe thru we will close the front in,

Didnt know you were a construction guy Larry. I have been down in them kind of holes many times, usually with knee deep water though.LOL
 
Flat walls like that need to have coated bar and every hole grouted. Even then under pavement, it seems risky. Very nice block laying though. I'm glad you were using a trench support system, very safe. Jim
 
Ah, Lyle... that wasn't water. Kinda like 'don't eat the yellow snow'? We were just talking about cinder blocks last night eh? But larry makes even sewer connections look good....
 
That hoe man didn't leave you a lot of room to work. I'd get fired for cutting an opening that small for a hole like that, or not putting plates in there. Looks like a 330CL to me.
 
we had to shovel a lot of dirt off the slab before we could start lying the block,we poured a pad at the bottom of that hole about two months ago,they told us to build the pit this morning
 
Must be North Brunswick, or similar, I worked on a big subdivision job there in '94 for C. Caruso, in that red clay/shale, running a D8K pushing scrapers, that stuff will stain your clothes.

Supposed to be a valve vault or looks like one, I ran a job in Coney island, where we set 50 ton precast ones with a 300 ton hydraulic crane, fun stuff :)
