841 trans problem

my 3rd gear has a chip and must be replace.i have never broken a tractor in half.the gear is toward the rear and looks to be the easiest to get to.my question is simple how hard will it be replace.

First off how big /bad is the chip??? I have seen them last for decades if small and the rest of that tooth is not cracked. As for splitting one again it depends on what you have to work with. Me I could do it in a few hours but I also have a shop built so I can do work with out working hard to do it

If it is within the realm of possibility this might be a good time to swap out the 4 speed for a live PTO 5 speed with dual clutch assembly.
