Clipper 2B seed cleaner

I would like to clean my own rye and oats. I've found a wooden clipper 2B. It is in fair condition, but is working and has a good selection of screens. The price is $400, which I think is a little high, but I haven't seen any others. Will this clean seed so that it will go through a grain drill? How many bushels per hour can this machine clean? I am not looking for a real high capacity, but may like to clean 200 bu per year. Any thoughts on price? Thanks,
Josh

They will do the job, if you have the place and the time..!!
My Grandad had two Clipper Fanning Mills and cleaned many many loads of Red Clover, Timothy and Seed-Soybeans...
Monitor them correctly and they will do a very good job..

Yes it will do excellent work. You can get more details about them at www.atferrell.com
They still make the Clippers in Bluffton, IN.

My ousin had one of those and cleaned a good many bushels of soybeans for me, pre-roundup. They always grew well and I never had a problem. It was pretty simple to setup and operate.

You had better buy that before any of the organic guys find it. They are bringing $750-1000 in good condition around here. A lot of the organic guys are saving their own seed or cleaning theirs for resale.

A new Clipper 324 is: 324 3 screens 3/4HP 60Hz $6900.00

They will clean the grain perfectly clean with the correct screens. You can easily do 40-50 bushel per hour with a little help. If your original grain in not filthy to start with.
