What is being charged in your area?? Just ordered 2500 liters (658 gallons) at 4 bucks a gallon (conversion)...

Not much difference then (actually 3.80 at today's exchange rate)....
Made the mistake of putting in floorheating in the living room (rest of the house is radiators) ...
We have 2 wood stoves in a house where one (the one in the living room) will heat it up like a sauna in short order and firewood in whatever form you want is almost cheap......Just the "but it feels so nice on the feet" is is keeping us buying oil. Appliances heat their own water and we have an electric on demand heater for sinks and showers with only 2 people in the house...........

What kind size is your tank do you have currently $3.44 a gallon in my area.

Propain is $2 per gallon and gasoline is $3.45 per gallon. Off road diesel is about $3.50 per gallon, I havent bought any in about 6 weeks.

Don't know what heating oil is around here, but I've got about 150 gallons of it in an underground tank in back of my office. It probably dates from around 1991, assuming the heat pump was put in at the same time as the insulated windows (which have mfg. dates on them). With the price of diesel, I really should be getting it out of there. Just another in a long line of worthy projects. . .

Topped off tank with 197.5 gals last week at 3.16
its 3.33 as of today.
York, Southern Maine.

I watch these 2 sights daily and the long range weather reports. We were having a mild fall so I held out as long as I could as prices were falling thru Sept into October. But thats' over now that its starting to get cold.

Have yet to turn on the heat. Trying to hold out till Nov 1st. Still hitting low 60's most days and low 40's most nites.
As long as we remember to let the sun in all day and close it all up tight around 5pm and use the oven to cook we manage to keep it above 70 in the house.
