This is from the other week, done with beans now, worked halfway through corn. Couple days couldn"t hardly see anything when the wind conditions were still. Kept chugging and looking for rocks. Lots of rocks in some of these fields. One field has at least (5) 3 footers come out every year.

In my 35+ years of farming I have never seen beans as dusty as they were this year. If the winds wewre in the wrong direction you could not see a thing after dark.

What combine you running? 2366?

2188. That's what you have?, can't remember. One 80 acre field the beans were good, but laying together and mostly leaning south. It was dusty, not feeding the best and I was about ready to fall asleep running 2 mph. I'm not one to push it too hard, I just let her do the job. There was A LOT of material to run through, where they were standing straight up they were 54" tall in places. Now I feel like I'm on the interstate since I'm shelling corn at 4.5.

If your having trouble with beans feeding evenly since alot are down just take a sharp chisel an hammer sharp edges on shiny side of auger spiral with sharp edge pointing against forward travel.Works on corn heads also.Do it about every 8--12 inches.
