7 cylinder engine

I attended the Farm Science Review this fall. Massey Ferguson had a 7 cylinder in line engine on display. They said they were going to use it in their biggest combine.

I didn't think to ask. What would be the firing order be on a 7 cylinder in line engine?

Is that the Massey ferg. engine? I know the inline rotary is 1357246, but is the Massey different?

That's the firing order for a 7 cylinder RADIAL engine. An inline engine with the same firing order would have a substantial fore-aft rocking couple (vibration) unless equipped with an auxiliary balance shaft.

GM had a Buick maybe V6 with a funny firing order. Always sounded like it had a miss. Maybe in the late 70's. Dave
