Tractor has brand new rubber front and back and looks pretty good. 2nd owner has only used it to do some light pulling at shows.
He has never used the hydraulics and they are plugged. I will be using to pull a wheel v rake.
How do I test to make sure they work okay before buying...
Raised on a farm with 1957-230 and 1946 B not familar that much with the H.
Any help is appreciated!

Look at the bottom of the rear housing for oil leaks in case a bearing went around with the bullgear..other than that it starts, runs smoothly ,gears all shift and stay in...

The belly pump hydraulic system is fairly bulletproof, with the tractor in neutral and clutch blocked you can spin the short shaft that drives the pump by hand and see if it feels like the gears in the pump are turning, or if the shaft has been removed you can spin the pump back and forth by hand and feel if it's driving. If you need a used pump they are cheap and simple but heavy to install. I've got one around here and I'm sure others nearer you will too.

With the engine idleing and clutch out, pull the hydralic handle. If the engine'loads',the pump is working. If you want spicifics, hook up a pressure gauge.700-800 lbs is 'bout right.Steve
