OT: Another year done...

Well, celebrated the birthday in the fields... finished combining my beans 11pm sat nite, spread fertilizer and planted wheat today... dad was combining his beans. plant wheat again tomorrow. go thru all year for this rush. beans averaged around 40... not terrible, given the year we had...

Cool! I'm helping a friend with his corn now, just a bit early for us but hope to have it done before the snow flies!

Congrats!Few things are better than being done with harvest!We wont be combining corn till Nov/Dec.

From the reports I hear here in northern Iowa the beans are disappointing due to the early frost. Mine did 43 and 48. Should have done 50. Jim

Finished my beans today. Yield could have been better, but considering the year I'm not complaining. Never met a farmer that didn't say "the yield could have been better".
