All caps is consider yelling so 1st idea is turn off cap lock.

2nd I went through basically the same thing. Was looking for a grain drill with a grass box on rubber without spending a great deal of money. I just watch Craigs List for several months and did find one in very good shape that is ground lift, still had to give 600 for it.

Where are you located?

I checked your craigslist, nothing under $7500!

Would you travel for teh right machine? We have 2-3 IH 510 grain drills in our local area for around $2000. Newer, faster, tighter... They are plentiful.

So, if you can make a road trip, it looks like yoru best bet is to come out of the black hills and visit me. Come see our puny farms and nice farm machinery. You'd be a king in this castle. Just come to visit, and bring a trailer.

I don't know much about SD, but around here, I could spit and hit a nice JD B or FB drill for $600-1000. Why go that route though when you can have a nice IH 510 for $2000? Big planters with wome weight will get the job done. I hope you find what you are look for. Van brunt I think was the mfg for deere, the Model B or FB.

Sorry to say that a bit of traveling is teh only thing I can reccomend. I am just another dumb farmer! LOL

Thanks for posting though, it gave me something to look for states away.

I'm in western Pennsylvania. Mid-Ohio has all the smaller drills you could ever need. I know it's a trip for you, but, if you want to have something nice, it is the only way to go.

I just saw a really nice IH 510 and a JD FB at the same place. $1900 for the IH and $700 for the JD.
