Can anyone tell me the birthdate of this website and who some of the original posters were? I was wondering how long it took for people to catch on and use this site regularly. Tha amount of info. shared and prayer requests made would make for one heck of a novel.

Ive been here since there were only like 12 posts on the Farmall board. Stumbled across it by accident. I think that was in 97 or 98. Changed names I think 3 times.

I don't know when it started but it was in existence when I found it around 1999 or 2000 or so.

In the early days, the users used to send contributions to the owners to help underwrite the cost of the site. I haven't seen any mention of contributions for a long time.

es, that's the way it was before the store really got going, we used to send in an annual contribution.

Must have gotton on in the first year as got the first putor in 1996 and was one of the first items my wife found on it.

I've been on this site from the vary beginning! It sure doesn't look like it did in the beginning,Much, much improved. I was one who ask'd Kim get dozers, backhoes etc. on the site. Kim and her staff have done a super job keeping it clean and trouble free !....Jim in N.M.

I was wondering if there was an area on YT where you can see how many post you made to the site. I also belong to the AFTWS(Air Force Together We Serve) site. They issue you a ribbon for every 100 post plus a star on the ribbon for each additional 100 post.

Had to have been about that time. I remember I was in highschool at the time and I was looking for parts for my MH 444 during study hall. Just happened to stumble across this site via yahoo.

Been on since '98, bought and sold several tractors on the auction here! Used to have to change names every time the computer acted up so I quit registering.

It"s been around since about 1993. Hope I got the link in the right place.

Mark.......I stumble on webmistress Kim's Yesterdays Tractors page in 1995 looking for info about my 52-8N rear axle seals. They were 2-part leather/rubber. Big Fred (Boeing Engr that still posts) suggested some bearing supply houses in south Seattle. The bearing houses were all amazed but could NOT find a replacement. I finally found 1-replacement 90-mi north in Mt Vernon and a 'nutter replacement 90-mi south in Chehalis. (think Mt. St. Helens Volcano)

I was amazed at the confusion that 12V conversions caused; 'course being a Boeing Flt Test Engr, that is what I did "Electronics". Surprizingly enuff, I still have NOT converted my eazy starting 6-volt 52-8N to 12-volts. Why? 'cuz I'm lazy........Dell, a 12V advocate for the right reasons. I know 8-ways to convert to 12V and they all work the first time.

P.S. I discovered the site in 2011 (when I bought my first tractor - MF35 - 1961)...

Great site and wealth of information. I found site by accident while looking for Oliver parts.

Kim and team do a great job for all of us. I have only changed handle once to account for another Oliver Shep. I have learned so much here and met some of the folks face to face i.e. Nebraska Cowman, Les from VT and others.

Great folks here and wonderful on-line community. Now that boys are grown and gone I hope to have more time to chat with others.

I've been coming here since '97. It is the best antique tractor site on the internet. People come and people go. Some of the gone ones ain't missed!

I recall it was about '99 or '00 when I noticed this site, been a fan since. '01 at the latest if I recall.

I registered quite a while back, something here prompted me to do so, and for some reason the original registration appeared to have been done or completed, but then a few years ago did not, so I did it again to reserve my handle/username as that has always been the same since day one, so my hour meter here has been reset once, but I've been participating prior to that.

If you've been here a long time, you won't get an accurate number from modern view. They lost a lot of posts many years back, and I don't believe they ever recovered them. Especially true for Tales, where there is no archive.

And BTW, I was certain I had a line of bull at least good enough to rival Dell(WA), but he's got dang near twice as many posts as me, so now I'm feelin' inadequate...

Gee That was my 60th Birthday !! Was still arguing that I would never have a computer in the house !!

Wife got one for my Grand daughter and we used to fight over it . now we are side by side friends. got two of them 8>)
