OT good news for North South travelers

What? US 81, 71, 65, 69, 63 & I-35 are a lot closer than 61. I-29 & US 61 are at opposite sides of the Corn Patch. Or are you just trying to be funny?
 
Whereabouts in Council Bluffs?

Sometime in the next couple of weeks, I have to go from here to Blair, NE, to Mondamin, IA, and back down to the south edge of Council Bluffs.

I understand U.S.30 and the bridge at Blair are open to traffic, with width restrictions because of barricades. (The bridge itself always has had width restrictions).

On Thursday, I drove from Bennington to Nebraska City on U.S.75, and it appeared some parts of that had been under water around Plattsmouth.
 
I clicked on the link, and it sounds like I-29 is open all the way through Council Bluffs. I may have answered my own question. (Not awake yet).
 
The Highway 30 bridge,at Blair has never been closed. You can get to Mondamin vis Missouri
Valley, Iowa.
 
I believe the part still closed starts at HWY 34 (Glennwood exit) and then south to Rockport Missouri.

That is correct. Quite a bit of that stretch is totally gone, and the base is eroded away to the point there is nothing left to build a new road on. Gonna have to start from scratch, just like when they first built it 35 to 40 years ago.
 
29 is not mostly gone, there are a couple of areas but it is in good shape, it is 680 that is gone but will be open by the end of the year.
