I can NEVER be that good grrrrrrrrrrr I cant pack water to him.........I'm too dern oldddddddddd. When he was 12 I taught him House of the Rising Sun on the guitar and 6 months later he could blow my doors off and I put my guitar away and havent played it since. Then at 60 I started to try and learn the freakin Banjo, its gettin frustrating too grrrrrrrrrrrr

I've seen enough (maybe too many) engineers on the dance floor at Christmas parties. Sure wouldn't expect the son of an electrical engineer to have that much musical ability.

Heyyyyyyyyyyy I "resemble" that remark lol I may not be able to dance but I cant play the banjo either

John T, I want to thank you for the link to The Arthur Ward Family, especially the song by Sandi, Holdfast to the Right. This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard, sung by a very beautiful lady. I have played it now for two days, still can't get enough. Very hard to beat, a beautiful song and a beautiful lady.
Thank you.................

I love that song especialy when Sandi sings it. She just has the spirit in her heart. Even I have been butchering it up at our jams trying to sing it I like it so much. You can find 100 versions of it on You Tube but NONE as good as her from the heart version

A good show! Way back, around 1940 or so, i started buying Boogie-woogie albums, on Long play and 78 RPM's. I have three left, but no way to play them.
Those records sound like the music on the site you took us to.
Then, after WW II, i took up with some country folk, and learned a bunch of country music, and even had a small band for a while. Years went by, and i finally got a 5-string banjo, and learned the 3-finger style. I still, at age 87, go out one night a week, to a bluegrass jamm session, and play the bluegrass for 3-4 hours!
And, if i can't get a ride--i drive myself! My dear Old Wife worries some, but nothing has ever happened such as an accident! Must be the Yeunglings! Rusty Jones

Nice work!

Love to hear someone keeping the blues alive. Especially a younger person (not sure but he looks younger...).
We still give it a good shot around here, but seems like every year we"re playing another benefit for an old bluesman"s family. Had the privilege to backup the late H-Bomb Ferguson til the end, one of the last of the blues shouters. The stories he could tell, and the people he had worked with was like a history book of the blues.

Tell your son to keep up the good work. That"s certainly something to be proud of for you.

Great Job !

I had to leave him a note..
I really liked how he kept his composure as that unexpected noise semi almost ruined the recording.

Very good showmanship !!
