So going to buy some parts out of the classified ad section.

How do you know if your going to get the parts after you send the money? Any you guys had good luck with buying this way.I normally shop Ebay for my used parts? Thought I'd give it a shot.Am I making the right choice? Thanks for your thoughts guys .BlaineF

I've had good luck with YT ads. Everyone had what they said they had and did what they said they'd do.

I'm thinking that if your a tractor guy and you advertise stuff for sale .There is a good chance it's a honest guy.Just new to buying off YT ads. Thanks so much for the reply.Sure helps me feel better about sending the money out.Have a Great Day! BlaineF(WA)

Sure seems like the guys on here would be a little more dependable than the Craigslist and Ebay scammers.

The short answer to the original question is, you can't.

Surely the ratio of legitimate to scammer on this site is much better than it is on ebay, but there are certainly shady people trying to pull a move here too.

Some scammers are smarter than others, but generally they are looking for one big score. There are dumb ones that will go to all the trouble of setting up online accounts, and posting a bunch of ads, only to blow their "cover" by screwing someone on a $10 part. Usually, they will be pretty obvious when you start dealing with them.

After you send the money, how can you guarantee you will receive the parts.? When I buy from classifieds, I go and look at the object.

first off.. ebay has a money back guarantee if you use their paypal. And they will refund your money. Been there, done it, many times.. so all you got to do it to read instructions.

as to anywhere else.. you dont know if this guy is lagit or not. I would be very very leary of doing biz anywhere else.

I have done over a 1000 transactions on ebay. been screw about 3 times.
one time the lady died on me and I didnt file in 30 days.
one time the guy screwed me and I didnt file in 30 days.
and one time the guy and I argued about him sending me the wrong part and he screwed me, and guess what.. it was past 30 days so ebay will not intervined.

The 3 to 5 other times, I simply filed and ebay refunded my money. One time when I purchased a bunch of tv cameras parts, that had been rained on and clearly damaged before it was shipped,, ebay gave back my money and told me to keep the $2000 bucks worth of cameras for my trouble.

bought everything from tractors to tools to nails and screws...Its always my first choice for purchasing about anything.

I have bought and sold from here too. Worked out good hopefully for all involved. I once took a chance and sent a guy a decent deposit on a machine he was going to deliver to me. He was a good guy . There are still many of us around,even though the scammers are too.
Nothings for sure so don't send more then you can afford loose.

I just wish stuff sold better though. Lately not much has been and everyone on here seems so far off.

So going to buy some parts out of the classified ad section.
