M Carb inside nut!

Tell me, how does one loosen one, or tighten -just tell me either and I will reverse the instruction for doing the other. I just need to know what tool you use to get any turn on the nut for the M carb inside.

M Farmall? Only nut inside an M carb is actually the metering stem. I use a deep well socket.

That is what I thought at first reading too until I realized that he was talking about the inside, next to the engine block, mounting stud/nut.

That is what I thought at first reading too until I realized that he was talking about the inside, next to the engine block, mounting stud/nut.

A common 9/16" box end wrench works well on that inside nut. Granted it will be short stroked, but unless something is messed up, it only takes a couple of strokes and then it will turn off with your fingers.
