I recently picked up a GM CS 130 alternator from a 96 Chev Lumina that I want to put on a tractor. My question is that it has a four terminal plug coming out the side with only one little red wire coming out of that plug so where would I connect that wire? I know that on a Delco 10, I would run it back to the large terminal. Thanks

Or, even better, to the battery side of the starter switch or solenoid, for even more accurate voltage sensing.

"google" CS 130 That should bring up a link to a CS 130 alternator manual.

According to that the plug on back side is S F L P

L terminal connects through idiot light or resistor to switch. Manual explains other optional connections
