Looking for old tractor tires

I"m a personal trainer in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex area. I am looking for a few old tractor tires in various different sizes. We use them for strength and conditioning during training. I keep hearing that there are places that will give them to you because they are expensive to dispose of. Just have to go pick them up. That would be great but I can"t find such a place. Does anyone have any idea where I can get these?
 

Just go out and start knocking on farmers doors. The tire stores are reluctant to get rid of em cause there is always some farmer out there with money problems who needs a tire but just lacks the cash flow for new or good used at the time. Then the tire place has whats needed at the right price=happy customer.

You will get ALOT more strength and conditioning if you actually change the tires for the owners. I'm sure they will even be willing to pay you !
 
I would think you would have some luck calling tire dealers in the farm communities outside the Metroplex. Some of them probably have old tires available, or know someone who does.
 
i got plenty. sounds like you are to far away. check craigslist. i see them listed quite often as well that i list them. my local tire places will get rid of them for free so they have to pay to get rid of them.
 
I put an old tractor tire on craigslist in the free section. Figured someone would want it for a planter maybe.
Young guy calls me and asks if I still have it. I said yes. He said he'd be right over. He came by to get it and and I asked him what he wanted it for. He explained he planned to take an 8 lb sledge hammer and beat on the thing for exercise.
Hmmm. Ok.
About a year later I put another tractor tire in the free section. Young fellow calls and comes to pick it up. I asked him what he wanted it for. He said he takes an 8 lb sledge hammer and beats on it for exercise.
Must be a new form of training. 8 lb sledge and free tire is a lot cheaper than a weight set or exercise machine.
